Story
As many of you may know, we lost our good friend Nathan Brooks on Sunday the 20th July 2025
Those of you who were lucky enough to know Nathan would be aware that he loved a challenge, the outdoors and pushing his body to the limit - For example he had recently completed a 50 kilometre ultra-marathon in the French Alps shortly before his passing amongst other activities throughout his life, in addition to this he had also made a name for himself as a respected amateur boxer
And for those of you who know me, you will know that I am usually the complete opposite - However in Nathan's memory on Saturday 30th August I intend to cycle between The Coventry Building Society Arena in Coventry and The Kassam Stadium in Oxford to attend the Oxford United vs Coventry City football match, by doing this I hope to combine Nathan's passion for a challenge outdoors and my own passion for football (Particularly CCFC) - Joining me on the cycle will be another good friend of Nathan, Brandon Savage who is very kindly offering his time to personal train me in the gym to prepare me for the cycle as well joining me on the way
No donation is too small and if you are financially unable to contribute even a share of the link to donate would be greatly appreciated - It would mean the world to both myself and Brandon as well as all those who knew Nathan
With the go ahead from Nathan's mum Joanne, we are doing the fundraiser for the Salisbury Amateur Boxing Club in Liverpool, Nath's second home whilst he was living and studying in Liverpool, the place where he spent his days pushing his body to the limit and inspiring other boxers to not only improve their skills but to be conscious of their potential.
