For anyone who knows Roberto, you’ll know he’s one of the strongest, funniest, most positive people you could ever meet. Our little Italian legend has now battled testicular cancer three separate times, and somehow still manages to smile, laugh, take the piss out of himself, and keep everyone else going around him.

Watching someone you care about go through this changes your perspective on life. Cancer doesn’t just affect the person fighting it, it affects their family, friends, and everyone who loves them. That’s why we wanted to do something bigger than just standing on the sidelines.

Tanya and I are both raising money for cancer research to help fund better treatment, better support, and hopefully one day a cure, so fewer people have to go through what Roberto has faced.

Testicular cancer is one of the most treatable cancers when caught early, but awareness is still massively important. If this fundraiser gets even one person to check themselves sooner, then it’s already worth it.

And because Roberto loves Pokémon, it only feels right to say this:

“Even the strongest Pokémon faint sometimes… but champions always get back up for the next battle.”
