Thank you for visiting the page of my trials and tribulations. I am aiming to do a series of uncomfortable activities in 2025… to run, swim, cycle, and drive my way across the world!

In 2025 I am planning to run the London Marathon, swim the Serpentine, ride the Little Lumpy, and drive the Mongol Rally to raising for Cool Earth!

For the marathon I will be hanging up the beautiful yellow and pink tops to confess my loyalty to the Clapham Pioneers and channel my inner traffic cone.

Most challengingly, over the summer I will be driving from London to Astana, Kazakhstan, as part of the Mongol Rally having spent the best part of the last year restoring a 1980’s Toyota Land Cruiser, affectionately named Sully (for everyone’s favourite Monsters Inc character), with my younger brother. We hope our rolling museum piece will be the trusty steed to carry us to our destination in style, if not comfort!

Having learned some basic mechanics, and with unwavering faith in my new favourite holy book (a Haynes repair manual), we have managed to replace the engine, gearbox, suspension, prop shafts, and more. (Buying an engine lift was not entirely how I expected to spend last year’s bonus…). However, it’s not all been smooth sailing, with Sully breaking down just as recently as last Saturday (the AA know me intimately by now…!).

We are aiming (mechanics / sanity dependent) to pass through around 18 countries on our trip, including 5/7 ‘stans. Our adventures will be diarised on our Instagram page @roam.with.sully.

We are going to be committing a lot of blood, sweat, petrol, and tears to travelling uncomfortably around the world. Any donations to support this great charity would be much appreciated!
