I last ran the Great North Run in 2011, the year before I became a Consultant in the Emergency Department at Airedale. Since then I have had 2 children, 2 lung resection surgeries, and gained over a decade in age...the challenge is to match my sub 2 hour race time from 12 years ago.

Much like me, our Emergency Department is feeling it's age and getting a bit shabby and tired. I'm hoping that by raising funds for our department I can help us to provide an even better environment to care for our patients and their relatives in, with particular focus on facilities for children and bereaved families.
