Story
Alexander Farr, also known as Simba, is planning a 10 kilometre (6.2 mile) run in support of WildCats Conservation Alliance. Alexander is 11 years old and is in Year 6 at his current school.
Alexander feels a strong desire to help animals that are currently suffering due to poaching, deforestation and global warming, and hence which are critically endangered. Of particular concern to Alexander on the list of endangered species are Amur leopards and tigers.
This charity run is Alexander's third Just Giving Fundraiser. In 2023, at eight years old, Alexander swam one mile by himself to raise money for Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital. In 2025, as a ten year old, Alexander ran 4 kilometres, which due to a wrong turn lengthened to 8.8 kilometres, to raise funds for the Cotswolds Wildlife Park. Now in 2026 he will do a third fundraiser, also by himself, to raise money for the protection of large wild cats through the WildCats Conservation Alliance which is an initiative under the umbrella of the Zoological Society of London.
All three of these fundraising events were prompted by Alexander's love of wild animals, his deep appreciation of nature, and his desire to protect those animals who are endangered and who are therefore unable to protect themselves. He and we hope that you will support his cause.
