Thank you for visiting my fundraising page in support of Maggie's Newcastle!

I was diagnosed with DCIS stage 1 grade 3 breast cancer in 2022. Maggie’s was so helpful to me as I tried to process all the implications of treatment and ongoing side effects from medication. I found it to be a very calming and welcoming place to go at such a disturbing time.The whole concept of Maggie’s is brilliant. The building itself, plus the friendly and knowledgeable staff create a warm and welcoming atmosphere which puts you at ease.

I want to fundraise to help ensure Maggie’s will always be there for others in similar need in the future.

I have been walking 5K Your Way, Move Against Cancer in Durham once a month for 18 months, I have found this so up-lifting. It has given me the courage to attempt to go further and do 6K on the Maggie’s Crawl, which will be a new challenge for me.
