I am honoured to share that I will be running the Oxford Half Marathon on October 12, 2025, in support of the Special Air Service Regimental Association www.marsandminerva.co.uk . This charity holds a very close place in my family’s heart. The support and care it provides have had a profound impact on the lives of those we know and love, as well as countless other members of the wider SAS family.

The Association plays a vital role in providing welfare for its 5,500 members who range in age from a 103 year old Second World War veteran to members in their early 20s who have just passed SAS selection.

The welfare costs have been increasing 25% year on year for nearly the last 10 years. Much of this is due to the increasing costs of mental health issues that are sadly well beyond the capabilities of the NHS.
