Everest Base Camp trek

Supporting: Families, Homeless, Youth and Children in Need. We are ambitious because we aim to do more, more community projects, particularly with youth projects, more assistance to charities supporting, Families, Homeless, Youth and Children in Need. Covid 19 will not stop us, we need your support to make this happen.

Story

On 12 November 2023 I will join one of the world’s classic treks to the foot of the highest mountain on the planet, Mount Everest. During this 12 day trek we will walk through Sherpa country on our way to Everest Base Camp (5,545m), taking in the spectacular high-altitude scenery. As well as reaching Base Camp, we will climb Kala Patthar (5,645m) for a magnificent view of Everest.

I have decided to raise money for Staines Rotary Club which is charity local to me and I am hoping that my efforts in Nepal will convert into money for this fantastic cause. Staines Rotary is a charity that supports international and local young people. In the last year it has collected clothing for the Ukrainian winter, provided picture dictionaries for all year 5 primary students and planted 4,000 crocuses for World Polio Day. This is on top of raising money, and having fun, in the local community, with the Santa Fun Run, Christmas Collections and the Staines Upon Thames Duck Race. Staines Rotary aims to help make our community better and work with others to make it the best community it can be.

Thank you for any donation that you can make, big or small. Your contribution will help make a difference to those in need.
