Alexandra's fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society

Isle of Man Parish Walk · 22 June 2024
In October 2022 my Dad lost his fight with Alzheimer’s! But truth be told I lost my Dad years before that due to this cruel and debilitating illness.
The Isle of Man 🇮🇲 always felt like my Dad’s home: from fishing at Peel to Racing around the infamous TT Mountain course. The Island felt like a place my Dad could breathe. So what better way to raise money in his name than to take on the toughest walking challenge the Island can offer. The Parish Walk is an 85mile, 24hr monument of endurance. One that I am genuinely a little scared of. But the theme of my New Year’s resolutions this year is to challenge myself and this is part of the challenge.
Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future. They conduct groundbreaking research as well as changing the lives devastated by this cruel disease!
My target is £500. But don’t think you have to donate big: just £1 will help change lives.
Thank you 🙏
