Alder Hey Children's Charity is proud to participate in the adidas Manchester Marathon 2026.

As many of you know, my beautiful niece was born with an extremely rare heart condition, and she has recently recieved a new heart! Her journey has taken her from the Liverpool Women’s Hospital to Alder Hey, where she received exceptional care before being transferred to The Freemans Hospital in Newcastle. During this time, Rory has been cared for amazingly and she is now back down in Liverpool, with the respiratory specialists at Alder Hey.

This experience has opened our eyes to the incredible work that Alder Hey does every day for children like her. We are deeply grateful for the support and expertise provided by the medical teams who dedicate their lives to saving young hearts.

I am running this marathon not just for Rory, but for all children facing similar challenges. I need your help to raise £500 to support Alder Hey Children's Charity, ensuring they can continue their vital work.
