Alex Bennett - Castelli 24hrs for Snow Camp

Castelli 24hrs · 6 June 2025
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Snow Camp.
On Friday, 6th June, I’ll be taking on the Castelli 24hrs — a renowned 24-hour relay cycling race held each year in Feltre, a beautiful and historic town in the Veneto region of northern Italy. The race takes place on a 1.85km circuit that winds through the heart of Feltre, tracing the line of its ancient city walls. I’ll be racing as part of a team of eight, with each of us taking turns to complete as many laps as possible over the course of 24 hours.
This will be my first event for The Lacey Foundation, which I created to support outstanding charities that help children who have suffered abuse. Sadly, I experienced abuse myself as a child. I understand the lasting pain it can cause — and the resilience it takes to heal. Inspired by the memory of my beloved dog Lacey, who gave me pure and unconditional love, I’m determined to honour her legacy by supporting and uplifting young people who deserve the chance to lead happy, healthy lives.
For this ride, I’m fundraising for Snow Camp, a remarkable organisation that has been transforming young lives through the power of snowsports for over 21 years. They provide life skills, support, and opportunities to young people facing significant challenges — and I’m proud to support their mission.
Using a unique combination of skiing, snowboarding, life-skills, qualifications and vocational opportunities. Snow Camp positively impact the lives of over 1000 underprivileged young people across the UK annually, leaving them feeling inspired & empowered to go onto many other positive destinations in the snowsports industry and beyond.
