Story

Last week a hospital in Ukraine was hit by a missile attack. 600 windows were shattered as a result.

This Saturday I am running the XNRG 50km Ultra Trail to raise £7,500 for Insulate Ukraine to help install 600 emergency windows in that hospital. The last time this hospital was hit, it took 7 months to replace the windows. With your help, we can do it in less than two weeks.

Please help me reach this target so that together we can quickly install these emergency windows.

With severe black-outs across the whole of Ukraine , windows become more important than ever, especially with winter around the corner.

Insulate Ukraine installs emergency windows in people's homes and in public buildings to bring back warmth and light.

No hospital or public building can function without windows.

No family can live at home without adequate windows.

At Insulate Ukraine, we have the answer to this problem.

We have developed a $15 triple-layer window made from PVC piping and polyethylene, manufactured 100% locally and installed free of charge. So far, our local teams have successfully installed over 29,000 in Eastern Ukraine.

At $15 all-in costs for a fully installed window unit, IU windows are the cheapest and most effective way of keeping Ukrainian homes warm as well as keeping hospitals and schools operational. The work we do gives work to 32 locals living near the frontlines.

Please donate and help us reach £7,500 by the end of the weekend.

The Big Hoof is a Scottish registered charity (SC051797) and has been our UK Partner Charity since January 2023.
