Story

Dear friends -

On April 26, I'll be taking to the roads of London to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. Seeing my mother slowly decline with dementia has shown me what a devastating illness it can be, and as we all live longer, it's set to affect many many more -- more research is needed to find ways to slow it down -- and one day stop it.

I've set myself a challenging fundraising target this year. Thanks to the enormous generosity of my friends and colleagues (and to Bloomberg's matchfunding!) I've raised more than £97,000 for various charities over the years, and it'd be nice to sneak over the £100k mark this year!

Donations great and small are much appreciated -- Bloomberg will match the first £3,500 I raise, and if you're a UK taxpayer, the taxman will give back 20p in the pound, so every £1 could translate to £2.20 for the charity!

Thanks, as always! (Charity blurb below.)

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
