Story
Will, Heena & Jayesh are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 12th October 2025 in memory of Will's brother Alex Rowe
Some words from Will:
On Tues 20th June 2023 my Dad called me with the devastating news that my brother Alex had passed away. He was a tragic victim of suicide. As a tribute to Alex, I will be running the London Royal Park's Half Marathon alongside my wife Heena and brother-in-law Jayesh, to raise money for the mental health charity Mind.
At the end of April 2023 I was at a party that Alex had organised for his wife's birthday. We had a great catchup over family, football, music and the usual (often inappropriate!) jokes. He was on good form and spent the evening making sure everyone was OK and having a good time. That was the last time I saw Alex.
The period since has been a daily challenge for our family. We are so grateful of the support Mind have provided to us during the weeks, months and years since Alex's passing.
When we were younger Alex & I would play a lot of football, squash & golf together, so a sporting fundraiser in his memory would be something he'd approve of.
Each year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling.
Mind believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. They'll listen, give you support and advice, and fight your corner.
Please donate and help us support this wonderful mental health charity.
