Story

On the 5th October 2024, Alfie and his two school friends Morgan and Max are taking part in The Maltese Falcon to raise money and awareness for men’s mental health. (A topic which is incredibly close to their hearts)

Alfie, Morgan, and Max are hoping to reach their donation goal of £5,000 to unlock match donations from Future Self, notwoways, Specialist Rescue Group & Sidemen (BrightSide). The final amount raised will go towards three different men's mental health charities. Find out more about the charities below.

The Woodpecker Project

The Woodpecker Project is a Mental Health awareness charity that encourages people to take part in fitness challenges. Start conversations and show people where to get support when they need it the most.

With the donations from their amazing fundraisers, they issue grants to applicants wishing to be trained in Mental Health First Aid.

Movember

Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men.

They've taken on three of the biggest health issues affecting men: mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. As a result, men are living healthier, longer lives.

Dad's Unlimited

Dads Unlimited supports the emotional safety of men and those they care about through three key areas; supporting male victims of domestic abuse, supporting men with family separation, and supporting men’s mental health. All of their services use an evidence-based, trauma-informed, person-centred approach.

They do this through the provision of a family separation helpline, One-to-One Mentoring Advice, Mental Health Support, Family Court Support / Barrister Representation Service, Peer-led Support Groups, Education and Social Services Liaison, Pastoral Support, and Adult and Child Community Activities.
