Story
On 17th January, I’ll be taking on a 24-hour running challenge to raise money for Jeremiah’s Journey, a charity that supports children and young people who have experienced the death of someone close to them.
This cause is deeply personal to me. After losing my sister, Eva May, I saw first-hand how grief can completely change a young person’s world, emotionally, mentally, and physically. Grief doesn’t come with a handbook, and for many children and families, it can feel incredibly isolating. Jeremiah’s Journey exists to make sure no child has to navigate that pain alone.
Through my own experiences and the work I’ve done alongside Jeremiah’s Journey, including supporting schools and young people, I’ve seen the life-changing impact that the right support, understanding, and safe spaces can have. This challenge is my way of giving back to a charity that provides exactly that when it’s needed most.
Running for 24 hours will be tough, but it’s nothing compared to the ongoing journey that grief brings. Every mile I run is for the children, young people, and families Jeremiah’s Journey continues to support every single day.
Thank you for any support, whether that’s donating, sharing, or simply following along. It truly means more than you know
