Story
On 11th October 2026, I'll be waking up at an hour I've not seen for a very long time to go and run 13 miles around some of London's finest parks to raise some money for the wonderful St Christopher’s Hospice.
Having seen the fantastic work the hospice does and how helpful they are to families, friends and the people who need their support, I thought it was time I followed Tom's ambassador-fund-raising ways, albeit in a more energy exerting way than winning episodes of Catchphrase and Tipping Point.
Towards the end of my Uncle Len's life, St Christopher's were there for him, my aunt and cousins offering support in their darkest time and this fundraising will be a small piece of gratitude for how they treated my family.
The most running I've done in the last few years is to catch the train as it's pulling on to the platform, so I'm looking forward to getting active again and clocking up some miles in my running trainers. Thanks for reading and in advance for your support. Here goes...
St Christopher’s Hospice exists to promote and provide skilled and compassionate palliative care of the highest quality.
Our vision is of a world in which all dying people and those close to them have access to appropriate care and support, when they need it, wherever they need it and whoever they are.
We rely on the generosity of our community, through fundraising campaigns like this, to continue providing our specialist palliative care and familiy care services free of charge.
Thank you for your support.
