Story
I am doing the annual "The Big Cambridge-Calais Sleepout 2025" on the 8th of February, 2025. This event aims to raise awareness and funds for the Cambridge Convoy Refugee Action Group, an organization dedicated to supporting refugees in need.
No one should have to sleep rough in winter, but over the coming months dozens of homeless people in Cambridge and thousands of refugees in Northern France will face the bitter reality of trying to sleep in freezing cold, wet, and wretched conditions.
The Cambridge Convoy Refugee Group (CamCRAG) in cooperation with Emmaus Cambridge are hosting the "Fundraising For Refugees And The Homeless" event at St Giles'Church, Castle Hill, Cambridge over the weekend of 8th -9th February 2025. This event highlights the fact that these people all face the same problems, and that they share a common humanity, and that homelessness is not their fault.
All the money raised will go towards supporting CamCRAG's activities in Northern France, and towards supporting our charity partner.
Every donation counts and helps me reach my target of £250. Your contributions will directly support vital services and resources for those who have been displaced, ensuring they receive the assistance they deserve.
Please consider making a donation if you can – every little bit helps!
