I am looking to fundraise for a Learning Centre in Afghanistan, the centre will allow children to gain access to education.
Afghanistans education system has been devastated by more than three decades of sustained conflict. For many of the countrys children, completing primary school remains a distant dream especially in rural areas and for girls despite recent progress in raising enrolment.
In the poorest and remote areas of the country, enrolment levels vary extensively and girls still lack equal access.
An estimated 3.7 million children are out-of-school in Afghanistan 60% of them are girls.
During our extensive survey of schools in Afghanistan we have see seen the children that do attend schools are having to learn with very few resources and often lack the basics such as a notebook, books, bags and a safe place to study.
The centre will cost £45,000 to complete and £10,000 has already been raised.
