Story

Hi everyone,

I'm doing the Belfast Marathon on Sunday (5 May) and have been bullied by my own mother into raising funds for a good cause. I will be running in support of DC Action, which aims to improve outcomes for patients with a rare genetic condition, Dyskeratosis Congenita, in the UK. The charity is run entirely by volunteers who work tirelessly to engage with medical and scientific professionals to promote a better understanding of this rare disease amongst those who can make a difference.

This is the first marathon I've ever done and the training suggests that I may need to be pushed around on a skateboard for a few days afterwards, so I will be digging deep to get make it through those final few miles with my knee joints still intact. Any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated :)

Thank you!

Alice
