This September, I’ll be taking on a 5 day trek along the Great Wall of China alongside Giovanna Fletcher and 120 other people whose lives have also been touched by breast cancer. It’s going to be a tough challenge - 8 hours of trekking a day including thousands of stairs, unrenovated sections of the wall with tricky terrain, and sections at height with big drops either side!

I'm doing this to raise money for CoppaFeel and the life-saving work they do.

After losing my mum to breast cancer in 2022, I was devastated to be facing a diagnosis of my own just 2 years later. Whilst I’ve been through major surgery and have ongoing hormone treatment, I absolutely count myself as one of the lucky ones. Due to awareness and checking my cancer was caught early.

I also live with a rare genetic condition, hyperparathyroidism jaw tumour syndrome, that has brought its own challenges, including a diagnosis of parathyroid cancer when I was in my 20s. Having faced cancer more than once still feels strange to fully take in, but catching it early each time has truly changed everything — and I’m incredibly grateful for that.

I'm covering the cost of this trip myself (flights, accommodation etc), so every penny you donate will go straight to CoppaFeel and their amazing work.

CoppaFeel's mission is all about stopping late diagnosis of breast cancer by encouraging young people to regularly check their chests, get to know their bodies, and feel confident enough to see their GP if something doesn’t feel right.
