Story

Hello!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Robin Hood Half Marathon in September (eek!) to raise money for Nottingham Playhouse's 50:50 Appeal.

https://nottinghamplayhouse.co.uk/support-us/donate/5050appeal/

At a time when the cost-of-living crisis continues to restrict individuals’ and families’ access to the arts, it is important to ensure that theatre remains as accessible as possible. Providing free access to the arts is not just important in principle, but a vital lifeline for arts engagement in our local communities.

Our 50:50 Appeal was created to give more people the chance to experience the wonder of theatre. The appeal raises funds to provide free theatre tickets to individuals facing barriers to arts engagement.

A donation of just £10 will allow someone to join us for a thrilling night of theatre, so please help us to keep creating lasting memories by donating today.

Since 2016, more than 10,000+ people who wouldn’t usually have access to live theatre have now enjoyed one of our productions and we continue to invite charities and community groups to join us for performances.

Last year, the appeal allowed those in receipt of housing and mental health support, asylum seekers and those seeking refuge, learning disabled adults and children receiving vital end of life hospice care to experience the magic of live theatre for free.

Please give what you can :) and wish me luck!

Thank you so much,

Alice xo
