Story

This November, I’m stepping far outside my comfort zone to join a team of 11 remarkable women from around the world on a fully self-funded 100-kilometer trek through South Africa’s rugged Drakensberg Mountains, known for its high-altitude, difficult terrain, and unpredictable weather. For six days, we’ll challenge ourselves in every way, physically, mentally, and emotionally, each inspired by our own mission and the significance this journey holds for us.
What's the Mission?

We are collectively raising $50,000 to raise awareness and funds for The Black Mambas - an inspiring all-female, unarmed anti-poaching ranger unit dedicated to protecting endangered rhinos and wildlife in Greater Kruger National Park. The Black Mambas embody courage, resilience, and community.
The Black Mambas are more than rangers. They are trailblazers, using visibility, education, and community trust to transform conservation. Their work has led to a dramatic reduction in poaching and inspired a new generation of environmental stewards. Since 2013, their work has led to a 63% drop in poaching incidents. By raising funds for their work (through the charity Helping Rhinos https://helpingrhinos.org/, an international NGO), we’re not just protecting wildlife; we’re empowering women, strengthening communities, and investing in a more sustainable future.
What It Means to Me
In my daily work, we are pioneering new paths in technology and digital innovation to make financial markets more accessible and efficient, and although I find it deeply rewarding to push boundaries and create opportunities for people to build a better future in finance, I have always yearned for a way to make a positive impact beyond the bottom line. I want to contribute to something that safeguards our planet and uplifts communities.
And as a founder of a business, it’s easy to feel like I can never truly “turn off”. But this trek is my way of challenging that mindset and proving to myself and others that it’s possible to pursue meaningful, personal goals alongside professional ambitions.
My Commitment
This journey is about more than just trekking 100 kilometers. It’s about putting my values into action, showing up for causes I believe in, and proving that each one of us can make a difference in our own way.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps fund ranger patrols, education programs, equipment, and salaries, so these women can keep protecting Africa's wildlife and uplifting their communities. Every dollar raised goes directly to the people on the ground doing the real work.
PLEASE JOIN ME IN THIS CAUSE! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!
