Story
I am incredibly grateful & excited to have another opportunity to take part in a second charity race hot off the heels of the Magnolia Cup - this time being the BHS Wetherby race in support of the British Horse Society. Anyone who came to spectate at Goodwood can vouch that they had never seen a bigger grin on my face than when riding round the parade ring before heading out onto the track.
That feeling of achievement and purpose was on a level that I'd never experienced before, but would love to recreate - hence taking on this next challenge, with a slight step up in distance to 1 mile!
The BHS plays a vital role in improving horse welfare, supporting education and training and promoting safe riding. Their work helps ensure that horses receive the care they deserve while making equestrian activities safer and more accessible for everyone.
As someone whose life has been shaped and improved by horses, I know how important this work is as the equestrian community relies on charities like the BHS to help create a kinder and more sustainable future for the sport.
What makes the BHS so unique is that their work reaches every corner of the equestrian world, from happy hackers to experienced professionals.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help the BHS continue its important work and safeguard the future of our equestrian industry.
