Story
In my role as a haematology nurse, I see everyday the impact of cancer on peoples lives. The nature of haematology cancer (lymphoma, leukaemia etc) means that most of my patients are young when they become unwell. Their courage and bravery during treatment never fails to inspire me, and it is for them that I will be running the 2027 London Marathon. This is a cause that is close to my heart for all the patients, and their families, that I have supported during their cancer treatment.
CCLG: The Children & Young People’s Cancer Association, a charity dedicated to creating a brighter future for children and young people with cancer. Powered by expertise, they unite the children and young people’s cancer community, driving collective action and progress.
They fund and lead pioneering research, provide trusted information and guidance for children and young people with cancer and their families, and bring together professionals to improve treatment, care, and outcomes.
