The LJS Drop-In for Asylum Seeker Families is hosted and operated by our synagogue, the Liberal Jewish Synagogue.
Each month, Drop-In volunteers provide hot meals, essential supplies and a safe space for children to play. As a past volunteer at the Drop-In, I have seen how this project makes an immediate and positive difference to families. £90 supports services to one family for a month.
The Drop-In currently has 150 registered families from over 30 countries. The only requirement is that families have an active pending asylum claim registered with the Home Office.
