Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am running the Isle of Wight 106km Ultra Challenge to raise money for Mind, the mental health charity, so those in need can access more support.
As you may know, just over four years ago I lost a childhood friend, and she is one of the many people I'm raising money in aid of, as mental health problems affect us all. I've faced my own challenges, and running has always been a good way to support my own mental health as it provides me with the headspace I need in order to relax and be in the moment. Many people aren't as fortunate to have a release that helps them manage the issues they face, and Mind is one of the amazing charities who support people through the toughest times.
Mind, the mental health charity. We're here to make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone.
Earlier this year I finished a 54km ultra, and whilst I’m excited and very nervous for such a big challenge, knowing that I am training for such a good cause is what is pushing my out the door in all conditions.
I would appreciate anything that you are able to offer, whether that is through donations, suggestions for training, links to running playlists or company through the summer on parts of my longer runs!
