Hello! My name is Alice, Im a trustee for Hospice Ethiopia UK, an incredible charity who work with the Hospice Ethiopia team in Addis Ababa to provide essential end of life care for those with terminal illness.

This autumn from 12th to 13th September, 14 racers from across the country will gather near Newcastle to compete in a low-budget adventure race across Northumberland, inspired by the popular tv show Race Across the World.

The participants will navigate their away across Northumberland through the rolling hills along the hadrians wall towards the iconic coastline using only paper maps, public transport, walking, and hitchhiking.

Operating on a strict £20 daily budget with no smartphone navigation permitted, the racers will camp overnight before racing to the final finish line, Newcastles Central Station. Along the way the racers will hope to raise vital funds for our team in Addis Ababa.
