I am running the Great Manchester half marathon in May, in memory of my grandad.

I will be raising money in aid of Alzheimer’s society, as this is a charity close to my heart.

My grandad was diagnosed with Vascular dementia in 2012. As a close family, it’s heartbreaking to see what this awful condition can do.

For those who knew my grandad, he always had a smile on his face and never let it affect him.

Dementia not only impacts the life of the person with the condition, but the lives of those that care for and love them.

I would be extremely grateful for any donations. This will go towards supporting those living with the condition and their families. Also, investing in research to treat and care for those with dementia.
