Paris to Swansea Cycle Challenge · 11 September 2024 to 15 September 2024 ·

6 (and a half!) riders. 390 miles. 6 days. 100's of families affected by cancer supported in the UK. Raising funds to build a dedicated Play Therapy centre at our Charity premises in Swansea.

Story

As Challenges & Events Officer at Kids Cancer Charity I'm often in awe of the feats our generous supporters put themselves through, so am now challenging myself to join them!

I haven't been on my bike in far too long and never (before now) on a drop handles road bike so the challenge starts with getting fit and confident cycling again!

It's also for a great cause, not just as I work here but hearing first-hand feedback from families the Charity supports, is humbling.

"As someone with a son living with cancer, the past few months have been tough, both emotionally and physically. The chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a little while was precisely what we all needed. Your charity provides much needed respite and support for those living with cancer." - Lowdon family.

It's a privilege to join in riding for and supporting them. I'm very grateful for anything you can contribute.

All proceeds from this Challenge go towards realising our new purpose built Play Therapy centre.
