I am taking part in Faith in Schools Pentecost Sponsored Walk around Newham churches and schools which is happening on Saturday 14th June. This event is to celebrate many of our churches and school partnerships as well as raise funds. I aim to raise at least £2000 towards the £5000 team target for local pupils to meet Christians and visit churches.

Why not join me? We need people to help us spread the word, sponsor or decorate their church if it's on the route. I am walking the Long route (12 miles). The launch point is St John’s Church, Broadway, Stratford, E15 1NG.

I have chosen to walk with FIS because they share the love of Jesus with 30,000 Newham children at a time when 95% don't go to church. They provide excellent value for money - each pupil they work with costs £3.67 per year. My favourite thing about Faith in Schools is building relationships with pupils and volunteers as we become trusted over the years. It is a privilege to be a part of something so positive in our community.
