Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
I'm taking part in Paris2Nice 2025 from 6th to 11th September, which means that I am challenging myself to cycle >750km over 6 days between the French capital and the place I was born. For a newbie road cyclist who hasn't had a bike for 25 years and is worried about cycling on the road, this is a daunting task. The trip is 100% self funded and every penny that I raise will go directly to my chosen charity.
I have chosen to fundraise for Glass Door. I came across Glass Door back in 2018 as they provide emergency shelters close to where I live in Wandsworth and I have been a regular supporter since then. Sadly, their work is needed more than ever.
Based in London, Glass Door coordinates the UK's largest network of open-access services for people affected by homelessness. Year-round, people find advice and support to end their homelessness through trained caseworkers based at partnering drop-in centres. During the hard months of winter, Glass Door also provides emergency winter accommodation.
"Our vision is a world where no one has to sleep on the streets of London, and we’re working every day to achieve this."
