Story
St Catherine's provides palliative and end-of-life care and support for the people of Central Lancashire, through our specialised services at the hospice and in people’s own homes. We're here to help people facing life-shortening conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure to enjoy the best possible quality of life to the end of life. It costs more than £5m to run our charity every single year. We rely on the amazing efforts and wonderful generosity of supporters like you to help us raise the funds we need. Thank you!
St Catherine’s Hospice is a very special place to our family, as it is to so many other families in our local community. The care, compassion and support they provide to people and their loved ones during some of the hardest times in life is truly incredible. 💚
So, in a few weeks, Tom & I will be putting ourselves through Born Survivor as part of a larger group representing St Catherine’s Hospice and raising as much money as we can to support the amazing work they do.
For anyone who doesn’t know, Born Survivor is a pretty brutal obstacle course involving mud, water, walls, ropes, crawling, climbing, running and generally questioning every life decision that led us to signing up! 😂 We’re expecting bruises, exhaustion and a serious amount of mud… but hopefully a lot of laughs along the way too!
We know there are lots of worthy causes asking for support, so if you’re able to donate, we would be so incredibly grateful. Every donation, big or small, will help St Catherine’s continue to provide the care and support that means so much to families like ours.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting us — and for helping us get through what may be several hours of wondering why on earth we thought this was a good idea! 😂💚
