Over a few glasses of wine one evening, we declared we wanted to climb a mountain; like you do!

So, we are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on 16th July 2023. We will be scaling 3 mountains covering 25 miles, in memory of our dear Mum Alice Hyland, who we sadly lost in August 2022.

Cruelly, dementia affects 850k people in the UK. With Mum, we found every day brought a new challenge, and we muddled through to be honest, providing the best care we could.

BBC1’s ‘Our Dementia Choir’ was particularly poignant. During Covid, we joined their online music session, and we hold such wonderful and funny memories of this. Mum loved music and it always fascinated us that she never lost the lyrics to some popular tunes which gave us all so much joy.

Music plays such a huge role in combatting dementia, therefore we are supporting 'Our Dementia Choir' to continue their amazing work in raising awareness and spreading positivity for its members and carers to continue making those precious memories.
