As part of Lights On Afterschool (October 22, a day to celebrate the vital role of afterschool programs), we’re raising funds for ExpandED Schools (https://www.expandedschools.org/).

I joined ExpandED’s Junior Board last year because I wanted to support their mission to provide every child in New York City with enriching learning opportunities beyond the classroom.

ExpandED supports more than 900 afterschool programs across the city, partnering with public schools to help students explore, grow, and thrive. Every day, ExpandED’s staff and community partners work to ensure that this system of school-community collaboration remains strong, sustainable, and accessible, so that all NYC children have the support they need to reach their potential.
