Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In August 2023, I relay swam the English Channel with 5 other team mates, collectively raising £12,800 for Aspire- a Spinal Cord Charity in London.
The support I received for this event was incredible, and this year, I have decided to undertake another challenge. Including gift aid, I am aiming to raise £4000 for the Snowdrop Project.
In August 2024, I will be climbing Kilimanjaro - 5,895 meters high. This will be battling climate sickness, fitness levels, across a 12 day hike. For context, the highest mountain in the UK is Ben Nevis at 1,343 meters.
The Snowdrop Project exists as the government does not fund long term support. In law the UK has signed up to a minimum of 45 day support starting from when someone has been identified as a survivor of trafficking. Although support is often for a longer period in reality, many of those we work with have complex needs and require support and advocacy for many years to help them lead an independent life and to reduce the risk of re-exploitation.
To kick off my fundraising, I will be taking part in the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge with my dad, as well as walking up Mount Batur and neighbouring mountains in Bali.
Thank you for being a crucial part in this journey and supporting such a great cause.
