Story
As most of you all know, Ali received amazing care and support in her final days at Cynthia Spencer Hospice, for which we as a family will always be eternally grateful.
Until Ali was admitted we had very little idea of how a hospice worked, but all I can tell you is that ALL the staff are amazing and dedicated, to making those finals days as comfortable, safe and pain-free, not just for the patient but for their family as well, nothing was ever too much trouble , the answer was alway yes now what's the question.
As a hospice, they need our support to continue to deliver this outstanding service, and this year, they need to raise over £2 million or £6,052 per day , this is in addition to the money they receive from the Northampton Integrated Care Board .
Therefore, as a family, we have decided to try to raise £1,000 by participating in 2 challenges. On September 15th, Sam, Lucy, and her dad Andy are doing the Amazing Northampton Half Marathon Run, and on September 22nd, Adam and I are doing the Cycle4Cynthia 70 mile bike ride around Northamptonshire and it's country homes. Both of these Ali would have loved as she was a keen runner and loved doing the London marathon in 2013 and had done a couple of triathlons before her illness struck.
We know times are tough for everyone, but any amount you can spare no matter how big or small, will help them deliver their care package to families like ours, that make those final days memorable and special
