Story
On 30th July 2017, our eldest son Cameron was rescued by the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance after a serious bike accident on the West Highland way. We will be forever grateful for the incredible work they did that day. The air ambulance took him to Queen Elizabeth's hospital where he underwent surgery and thankfully went on to make a full recovery.
I plan to run/walk/cycle 100 miles in October to raise money for the air ambulance as a small token of thanks for what they did for our family that day. Any sponsor money received will go to support their life saving work.
Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) responds, on average, to two time-critical emergency call outs every single day. Operating 365 days a year, SCAA can be airborne within five minutes of receiving an emergency call. SCAA is a national charity and receives no statutory government funding, so relies 100% on donations from the public to fuel their life-saving flights.
