Hi!

I'm a UCL university student taking part in a 6 day trek to Machu Picchu in August 2025. Our team will be trekking to a height of 4650m for Meningitis Research Foundation. This charity funds vital research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicemia. Meningitis can affect everyone, young children and adolescents being the most vulnerable to the infection of the protective membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord (meninges). MRF supports life saving research and spreads awareness of the causes and preventative measures we can take to avoid this disease.
