Story
This October I’m taking on the 100 Miles in October challenge for the National Autistic Society, and this one is really close to home for me.
In our family, we have three autistic niece and nephews who mean the absolute world to us. They are funny, kind, and wonderfully themselves, and we wouldn’t change them for anything. But we’ve also seen first-hand how tough it can be for autistic people and their families, from getting the right support to just being understood.
That’s why I’m doing this. Every mile I walk or run this month is for them, and for the 700,000 autistic people in the UK who deserve a world that works for them.
The National Autistic Society does amazing work, running specialist schools, campaigning for change, and helping communities and workplaces become more autism-friendly.
If you’re able to donate, it would mean so much to me and my family. Your support will keep me going through all 100 miles, and it will make a real difference for autistic people everywhere.
Thank you 💜
