Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be going out if my comfort zone this year and taking part in Strictly St. Josephs, which is the Hospice's version of Strictly Come Dancing.

Please can I ask for all your support in sponsoring me to help raise funds for the local hospice who do outstanding work and provide exemplary care?

I will also be applying for Barclays to match fundraise, so any sponsorship should also be doubled.

After I have had 6 dance lessons with a professional dancer to learn the art of Ballroom/Latin dancing and my dance routine, the event will take place on 23rd September in the Crowne Plaza Liverpool. For those interested in attending the event, please let me know and I can give you the details to get a ticket.

I always remember when I first visited St. Josephs. I was in Holy Family High School and signed up to go an help out at the hospice on a number of occasions, seeing first hand the incredible work and care the staff give it's residents, going above and beyond what I would have expected.

On speaking with the patients and their families, I could truly see the positive impact the Hospice had on everyone associated, not only from a support perspective but also having a positive emotional impact. I have grown up within this Community and have been lucky enough to be involved in a number of events with the Hospice over the years, from when I was a teenager and through to my now adult years.

For those that don't know the hospice, it opened its doors in Thornton in 1974 and has held a special place in the heart of the community ever since. Today, the hospice offers high-quality, professional nursing care within a peaceful, home from home environment surrounded by 12 acres of beautiful woodland gardens for around 200 patients and their families.

I'm not the most comfortable of people to ask for money but this is one of the only ways the Hospice can raise their much needed funds so matter what you are able to give to support, every bit makes a difference!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs. You can also donate directly to myself.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this, and for any support you are able to give.
