Story
Well Dressing is the art of decorating springs or wells with pictures made of natural products. It takes about a week to prepare, and a team of volunteers will work many hours a day to produce the picture ready for the blessing.
At the Dronfield Woodhouse Well Dressing, each year we choose a local charity to support and this year we’re pleased to be raising money towards Fairplay’s new minibus appeal.
This is our push to help Fairplay get a new minibus! They are desperate for a wheelchair-accessible minibus as theirs is on its last wheels after 12 years of use. Without it they are limited to where they can take their young people!
Fairplay offer a wide range of services to meet the needs of families. They offer support to children and young people, aged 0-30, and to parents and siblings. We run play schemes and Saturday clubs for children, youth clubs, activity days, themed groups, and independent living groups for young people, and parent support groups and family trips for parents and siblings.
Fairplay gives families the support that they need, and gives opportunities to take part in positive experiences that make a real difference to their lives. Enabling parents to have valuable respite including 24 hour care and give children and young people the opportunity to develop a wide range of life skills.
Fairplay would not still be open if it wasn't for the generous donations! <3
