Story
As I enter my 60th year in June, it felt really important to do something for my amazing and brave Mum. For over a decade she has courageously fought to keep her independence despite a diagnosis of Alzheimers, sadly a fall in September of last year and the progression of this cruel disease, has meant that she is now confined to a wheelchair but her spirit and smile are ever present.
With that in mind, I have decided to follow a Six Nations Adventure and raise money for 'ADS' which is a small, independent charity offering practical guidance, activities and services to people in the local community of Windsor, Maidenhead, Ascot, Slough, Langley and surrounding villages whose lives are directly of indirectly affected by Dementia.
Over the next twelve months, I will be experiencing the following:
Windsor Triathlon (England) - June 13th 2026 - completed!
Walking the Seven Hills of Edinburgh (Scotland) - August 2026
Walking the Gower Peninsula (Wales) - September 2026
Sea swimming and golf in Co. Antrim (Ireland) - October 2026
Randonee skiing (France) - January 2027
Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii (Italy) - April 2027

As a final note, there is some significance to me raising money for something linked to Mum as I turn 60 because I ran the Amsterdam Marathon as I turned 30 in aid of Cancer Research. At that time my Dad was suffering from that disease.
Please donate what you can to this worthy cause.
