Alison Howarth is raising money for Bolton Dementia Support Group
In memory of Wonderful dad / grandad

Bolton Ironman 70.3 · 8 June 2025 ·

We are a local charity who offer support to people living with Dementia and their carers. We have memory cafes in and around the Bolton area. We also have a support group that runs on a Tuesday morning at Thicketford centre.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 8th June, Katie and I will be doing Bolton Ironman 70.3. 70.3 stands for the total distance covered in miles during the event. It's comprised of a 1.2 mile (1.9km) swim, 56 mile (90km) bike and 13.1 mile (21.1km) run.

For me, could be mid life crisis 😂😂😂

We are training hard and are doing this to raise funds for Bolton Dementia Support.

As you know we lost dad to Dementia and after diagnosis, it rapidly took him. The support group were a lifeline in supporting mum and other people in the same situation when you just don’t know where to turn.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much xx
