My big birthday fundraising ride for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

As some of you may know I already do some fund raising volunteering for the Air Ambulance; it is such an amazing worthwhile cause that any of us might need.

Who knows when any of us will need this amazing charity? Yes it is a charity purely funded by people like yourselves and used by people like yourselves. The charity operates on donations as it receives no government funding for daily operations, needing £13-14 million annually to run its services. MAAC has responded to over 4,500 call-outs over the past year. The three air ambulances are called out on a mission on average 10 times a day. Each air ambulance flight costs around £3,000 and each critical car costs around £300 per mission.
