Taking the Leap for Sue Lambert Trust

Sue Lambert Trust Skydive · 12 July 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
I’ll be jumping out of a plane on Saturday, 12th July, in a tandem skydive to raise money for The Sue Lambert Trust (SLT). While I’m a little nervous, I’m taking this leap because I believe in the life-changing work this charity does for survivors of sexual violence, sexual assault, and sexual abuse.
I began volunteering as a counsellor for Sue Lambert Trust in 2017 and now co-facilitate survivors group.
For many survivors, reaching out to Sue Lambert Trust marks the first time they’ve shared their story. Whether they have carried their pain for years, months, or are only just beginning to process what happened, but taking that step requires immense courage. SLT offers them free therapy, which is so vital, as there are very few places survivors can access professional support without cost. It could be the first time they’ve truly felt heard. In group sessions, survivors not only rebuild trust in others but also learn that they’re not alone. They form relationships that help them begin to heal and move forward, while individual sessions provide a personal space to process their experiences one-on-one.
My goal is to raise £1,000, which will directly fund therapy for survivors. Every donation helps—your contribution could provide someone with their first safe space to open up and start their journey toward healing.
Your support means everything. Whether you can give £10 or £100, every donation brings us closer to providing life-changing therapy to those who need it most. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this with someone who can. Together, we can make a difference.
Thank you so much for your generosity and for helping me support this important cause. Please click the “Give Now” button to donate or the “Share” button to spread the word.
With gratitude,
Alison
