Story
Since 2018, my local charity, The Cowshed, based in Berkshire, has provided support to individuals of all backgrounds during times of personal crisis. Their mission is simple yet impactful: to offer good quality, cleaned, and ironed clothes and other essential items free of charge to those in need. They firmly believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities, regardless of their circumstances.
I have a great opportunity to "do my bit" and support this amazing community-driven charity over the next 6 weeks, as I weave my way down through India on a bike.
The Hippie Trail Cycle Challenge 2025 is my first truly long distance cycle ride.
Between Wednesday 29 January and Friday 07 March 2025, I will be riding 2,900km from Agra to Goa, past the Taj Mahal, through the Thar Desert of North Western Rajasthan, into the hustle & bustle of Mumbai and onto the beaches of India's Konkan Coast, stopping at forts and palaces along the way, absorbing the physical and spiritual kaleidoscope that is India!
Whilst beautiful, the ride itself I am expecting to be tough as well.. tackling rough dirt trails & pot holed tarmac roads whilst avoiding sun burn, mosquitoes, cows, dogs, cars, trucks & tuk-tuks!! A true adventure awaits - meeting the locals, seeing wonderful views, absorbing the history & politics of this incredible country.
Could you sponsor me today - a fiver, a tenner, 1pence per km perhaps? Each penny will enable The Cowshed to reach more individuals who require our assistance the most..
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH
