I was lucky to get a place for the London Marathon so I decided to raise money for the Lister Cancer Centre.

As the Deputy Director of Nursing for Cancer at East and North Hertfordshire Hospital I know what a difference the charity makes to patients and staff.

The charity funds those over and above items for the Lister Cancer Centre, enabling access to scalp cooling, complementary therapy, grants for patients (amongst others) and meaning we can enhance the environment to make a difficult time for people better.

The charity funds new specialist equipment, extra staff training, research and projects to enhance patient experience.
