On the 1st November 2022 our lives changed forever when our very much loved Jessica made the decision to end her own life – she was just 27 years old with her whole life ahead of her. 

Jessica was a huge part of our world and we miss her every day. Jessica completed the Robin Hood Half Marathon on the 25th September 2022 on her 27th birthday.This was just 6 weeks before she made her decision to leave us. 

Jessica developed a love for running over the last couple of years and became strong. She finished the race in under 2hours and was really proud of herself.We want to complete the Robin Hood Half Marathon as a tribute to Jessica and raise some funds to help others at the same time.

The Children’s Bereavement Centre have supported for us as a family from the very early days. Ruby, Jessica’s sister, has benefitted from 1:1 counselling and they have provided expert advise for the best way to support her moving forward. 

The Children’s Bereavement Centre is run by a committed team of friendly, supportive and professional people who are passionate about helping children and young people to cope with the grieving process brought on by the death or terminal illness diagnosis that has a prognosis of a year or less for survival of someone close. The Centre is open to children aged 3 to 18 and offers a welcoming and safe environment for them and their families to receive the help and guidance they need at one of the most devastating times in their lives.

We both completed C25K in January 2023 and have built on this with a full training plan to enable us to finish!
