Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Paul Alan Project was created to prevent more cardiac arrest deaths in the UK; by raising awareness of the signs of a cardiac arrest, providing basic life support training for FREE and raising funds for the provision and installation of public access defibrillators and bleed control kits; particularly concentrating on parks and residential areas where there is currently poor provision. They believe that training and emergency lifesaving cabinets should be accessible to everybody and that cost should never be a barrier for learning how to save lives and having the equipment available to do so.

The Resuscitation Council UK states that "early defibrillation within 3–5 minutes of collapse can increase survival rates by as much as 50-70%".

They also work with businesses and organisations to encourage them to house their existing internal defibrillators in accessible external cabinets for the benefit of the whole community.

The Paul Alan Project was created after Clare, the Founder and Director was by her Dad's side when he died from a sudden cardiac arrest.

They work tirelessly to install accessible defibrillators so that one day nobody will live more than 2 minutes away from one.
